Tokyo Expat is an independent real estate advisory service for international executives and professionals relocating to Tokyo.

Our advisor, Yasuhiro Maruyama, has worked inside Japan's foreign company world — at a global real estate private equity fund and at a foreign SaaS company — as a colleague and executive, not just as an agent. He personally designed and implemented a corporate housing program at his SaaS company, supported two expat colleagues through their high-end relocations, and managed post-departure tax representative arrangements on their behalf.

He knows how corporate housing policies, HR timelines, and Japan assignments actually work — from the inside.
